The order for our inaugural draft is set. Four (4) owners in the league completed a random hat drawing of teams for the order of our LIVE draft today, August 15, 2008. The order is as follow:
Pick 1 – Los Rams (Alex)
Pick 2 – XTREME (Moe)
Pick 3 – Team KG (Kevin)
Pick 4 – Crazy Like A Fox (James)
Pick 5 – BJPenn Dot Com (Bobby)
Pick 6 – Gitty Up! (Jim F)
Pick 7 – Team Kent Remendeaux (Eric)
Pick 8 – R-Rod Loco (Richard)
Pick 9 – Joe James Nation (Joe)
Pick 10 – Pimp In The Cubicle (Dave)
Pick 11 – Japanese Gameshow (Tiquet)
Pick 12 - Smashmouth G-Men (Bill)
The order of the 2008 LIVE draft in succeeding rounds will go in a snake format. This means that the team drafting first in Round 1 will draft last in Round 2 and, so forth.
IMPORTANT. However, in next year’s draft, the LIVE draft will change to a standard format similar to the actual NFL draft where the team drafts at the same position for each and every Round. This standard format is put in place to help the weaker teams (last place teams) rebuild easier. For example: if we have 4 keepers per team and every team decides to keep their 4 best players the following year, (12 teams X 4 players = 48 players), the 1st overall pick for next year’s draft, we are looking at the 49th rank player or an actual NFL rookie from 2009 draft class.
